As part of our commitment to excellence in the retail industry, Retail Ireland is proud to support Retail Ireland Skillnet, the industry-leading retail education and training body for almost 15 years, formerly known as Ibec Retail Skillnet.
Retail Ireland Skillnet, the longest-running and most successful Skillnets-affiliated initiative, offers retail industry professionals and employees the opportunity to gain nationally and internationally recognised academic qualifications in retail, certified by QQI - Quality and Qualifications Ireland.
Our unique and cost effective awards are recognised as the national standard for the retail industry. Retail Ireland Skillnet is funded by Ibec member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets Ltd, which itself is funded by the National Training Fund and supported by the Department of Education and Skills.
The programme owes its success to the fact that it has been developed by retailers, for retailers.
Participating retailers have reported that the our skillnet programmes have contributed to greater levels of professionalism, enhanced staff morale, lower rates of absenteeism and greater retention of staff. In addition, the programmes are cost-effective and participants can further develop their new skills and apply their training on the job, on an on-going basis.
There are a number of different courses, programmes and qualifications available, from occupational and general operational skills at Level 5, all the way up to a full Masters programme at Level 9. For details, visit Retail Ireland Skillnet here or telephone our colleagues at 074 917 6853.
